You’re not just a number to us.

Big freight companies have systems. We have relationships.

What sets us apart is a boutique approach to shipping. With us, you’re not a number in the system or just another enquiry in the queue. We give every shipment the same attention — whether it’s a single pallet, a regular route or a full truckload. We address situations before they become problems and keep you informed about the status of your shipment. So you can have peace of mind.

Boutique approach

Even a small client is a VIP with us. We design a tailored solution, select the optimal route and give the same attention to a single pallet as to a full truckload.

Personal approach

When you call, we pick up the phone. When you have a problem, we solve it with you, not instead of you. We’re a partner, not just a supplier. We communicate fairly, clearly and with respect.

Receivables and payables management

Freight transport to Norway does not differ significantly from other transports to countries within the EU region, with the main difference in the need for customs clearance and clearance of the shipment.
After contacting edysea and providing the necessary input data, the client will receive a price calculation for transporting the shipment (whether transporting the shipment independently or partially), and after accepting the offer, they can begin transport planning.
First and foremost, when transporting goods to/from third countries, it is necessary to have EORI number registration (www.eori.eu), which can be completed once and within minutes online. The next step is a contract with a customs declaration service provider (in case the client does not yet have one) – which will cover customs clearance of the shipment in export as well as comprehensive consulting in the field. edysea will select a suitable customs declarant for the client so that they are located at the closest possible distance from the planned loading location, and respectively along the route to the final destination, thus minimizing unnecessary vehicle trips.
Next, it is possible to proceed with the actual transport implementation, during which the client is informed daily about the shipment’s movement.
Info: Email Reporting on shipment movement is a highly valued service by edysea clients. Information about vehicle arrival for loading, its subsequent movement, the situation at the border crossing and the expected time of its passage, or the actual delivery within Norway enable the client to plan further operations and at the same time have a sense of security and certainty.

Generally, the required documentation includes a transport invoice, packing list, CMR consignment note, and in some cases specific permits or certificates depending on the type of goods. We always inform our clients in advance about any specific documentary requirements for transport to Norway.

Partial shipments via groupage line or as a co-load to Norway or from Norway is a standard service provided for our clients. The biggest advantage is, of course, cost savings for the client, who doesn’t have to pay for the entire capacity but only for the part being used. In general, the service is suitable for clients who don’t need to deliver their shipments JIT or via express.

On the other hand, the disadvantage of this type of shipment transport is a slightly longer delivery time, which depends on the groupage vehicle’s itinerary, and also the inability to plan shipment delivery for an exact date.

Importing shipments from Norway is a standard service at edysea, primarily to Slovakia, the Czech Republic and surrounding countries. If you need transport from Norway to other destinations, please don’t hesitate to contact us — we’ll provide you with currently available solutions and pricing.
