edysea focuses mainly on shipping to/from Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, as well as Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania. Standard routes also include transport to/from the Czech Republic, Germany, and the Baltic states. However, for our clients, we carry out both partial and full truckload shipments to all corners of the EU.

When transporting goods within the Eastern Europe and Asia region, the price is not primarily based only on distance, as is the case with transport within the EU. The calculation of shipping costs is also influenced by border crossings and waiting times, bureaucracy and associated costs, or the planning of return loads – which are usually far from the delivery point. For different regions, full truckload prices vary depending on several factors such as the value and type of goods (high-value goods, ADR, etc.), transport capacity (MEGA trailer, 120 cbm vehicle, FRIGO, etc.), and seasonality. Delivery to countries outside the European Union directly depends on the situation at border crossings and road conditions (winter months). In general, however, the following delivery times apply for full truckload shipments from our region:

Every legal entity that wants to export/import goods to third countries (countries outside the EU) must be registered and have an assigned EORI number. This number serves as a common reference when dealing with customs authorities throughout the Community and for the mutual exchange of information between customs authorities and other bodies. To ensure the uniqueness of the EORI number, only one number is used per person. To simplify administration, the EORI number is identical to the VAT ID number or in the format “SK”VAT. Subsequently, if the exporter does not have their own customs declarant, it is necessary to sign a mandate agreement with a provider of these services, who will then handle all necessary procedures (such as the actual export/import) with customs authorities on behalf of the client. Our company provides these services to clients, not only within the territory of the Slovak Republic. Therefore, in addition to the actual transport of goods, we also manage customs and declaration services for clients. We also offer clients the option of additional cargo insurance at favorable rates (tailored insurance for their shipment), as well as the option of transshipment. An additional service is daily reporting on the movement of their shipment, whether by phone call, SMS, or email. The client is thus informed and can inform their partners or manage procedures that are necessary within the goods delivery process.
