Receivables and payables management

Domestic transport is a supplementary service of edysea, as the company’s main focus is on international shipment transport. On the other hand, we mainly focus on transport within the Slovak Republic for full shipments, or partial shipments with larger volumes.

After contacting edysea, either by filling out the contact form or by any other means, and providing the necessary input data, the client will receive a price calculation for transporting the shipment (whether transporting the shipment independently or partially), and after accepting the offer, they can begin transport planning. The client is sent a transport instruction, which creates a legal relationship between the forwarder and the principal, and during the course of transport is informed about current milestones such as vehicle arrival for loading and similar.

edysea operates based on the general forwarding conditions of the Union of Logistics and Forwarding of the Slovak Republic, according to which liability is limited to 8.33 SDR per kilogram of damaged or lost shipment.

When calculating transport costs, we work with multiple inputs affecting pricing, but not all of them can be influenced. Whether it’s transport distance, seasonality, input costs, or specifics of transport to Slovakia – these are factors we cannot change. Therefore, it is advisable to focus on packaging your shipment with attention to maximum optimization of transport dimensions – since besides weight, volume is another indicator for calculating the transport price. It is also recommended to plan your shipment transport well in advance so there is sufficient time to find the most suitable solution at an optimal price.
